Kayu brand Red Balau decking is
available in a variety of dimensions,
however 5/4 x 6 tends to be the size
chosen most often. Complementing
balusters, posts and handrails are also
available.

| Because our Red Balau is a kiln dried product, there is almost no shrinkage. However, since expansion is likely, it is recommend that a 1/4” space is left between 5-1/2” boards and a minimum of 3/16” between 3-1/2” boards. To minimize splitting, pilot holes should be pre-drilled prior to screwing down. We recommend using screws made from stainless steel to prevent loosening over time and colored head screws are available to blend better with your decking. |
